Here are some of the many service-learning stories in Central Oregon:

My experience with Volunteer Insights enabled me to take what I learned in the classroom and apply it to real-life situations and relationships. It helped unleash a passion that I didn't know existed, and I have been encouraged and empowered to pursue working with hurting and oppressed people. Whether that be in the United States or abroad, I am ready for the next chapter of my life. --Oregon State University/Cascades student

Volunteer Insights served as a bridge with the community agencies, creating a list of volunteer opportunities that corresponded with the needs of my students. Students reflected on their experiences in a journal and in dyads and small groups. We also connected the service-learning into our full-class discussion as it applied to whatever topic we were covering, and the students understood class material on a deeper level. --OSU/Cascades teacher
