Service-Learning Opportunity Questionnaire

Volunteer Insights connects students and other volunteers with service opportunities that match their learning objectives and other goals.

If you are in Central Oregon and would like us to recruit volunteers to serve with your agency, please complete this questionnaire for each opportunity that fits our Criteria for Posting Positions. Criteria for Service-Learning Opportunities

  • Central Oregon non-profit or public agency serving community or environmental needs (or for-profit agency, such as a hospital, whose purpose is serving a social need).
  • Agency provides service opportunities that fit with volunteers’ goals for learning, growing, and giving.
  • If recruiting service-learning students, agency provides assignments that can be completed within one academic term, with the possibility of continuation beyond the term.
  • Agency incorporates risk-management procedures for injury prevention and liability reduction.
  • Agency screens volunteers, as needed.
  • Contact person, volunteer manager, and/or supervisor will:
    • Respond quickly to volunteer inquiries.
    • Place volunteers in positions that connect their learning and other goals with agency/client needs.
    • Ensure that volunteers are oriented, trained, and directly supervised.
    • Communicate with Volunteer Insights about problems and successes.
    • Ask volunteers for feedback on their service experiences and achievement of their goals.
    • The contact person will update the listing with Volunteer Insights at least quarterly.
