When you welcome service-learning students to your agency, you not only gain their volunteer assistance, but you also have the opportunity to teach them about important community issues and the value of community engagement.

To get started, check if your volunteer positions will work for service-learning students. Select "Criteria for Posting Positions" above. To submit a position, select "Opportunity Questionnaire" above, or contact us. You can also view our Volunteer Opportunities List to see what kinds of positions other organizations are offering.

Once you are listed, students who wish to do a service-learning project with your agency will usually contact you directly. Volunteer Insights does not pre-screen them. Find out what the students' learning goals are, and try to match them with positions that will fit. If you cannot use them, please encourage them to check for other opportunities on our Volunteer Opportunities List. We all want students to have a good experience and commit to life-long volunteering.
